Adze Forging 2-Day Workshop
Nic Westermann is running these two day classes at our London Studio, helping you take a rough bit of stock steel and turning it into a beautifully functioning edge tool, which is both empowering and deeply satisfying.
Along with the axe, the adze is one of the oldest, most versatile woodworking tools. The adzes made on this class are designed to be perfect for carving bowls, and rough hollowing spoons.
In the class Nic will guide you in making your own Adze head, with particular attention paid to forging & grinding the correct edge geometry. You will get to forge, harden, temper and sharpen your Adze, before finishing off by carving and fitting a handle that complements the head you've made.
